Stated 1st edition, no number line (1st printing). Dust jacket is fine in a protective mylar sleeve. Dust jacket inner flaps are adhered to the pastedowns. 180 p. Audience: General/trade. Book has mild shelfwear to the cap and base of the spine. A previous owner s card, also signed by Pronzini, is laid in. There is a glue stain, possibly from a card pocket removal, on the last free endpaper. The story of Rex Sackett, 'The Metaphor Kid', as he struggles to win the spectator sport of the future, the hack-writers' Prose Bowl. Pronzini is the Grand Prix de Litt�rature Polici�re-winning author of the nameless Detective series. Malzberg is the author of The Falling Astronauts.
