Baltimore: Cushing and Jewett. Good+. 1823. First Edition Thus. Leather. 12mo 7" - 7½" tall; 292 pages; 1st edition of this uncommon Baltimore imprint. In contemporary calf leather with morocco title label to spine. Complete and sound. 292, [52] - 62 pp. Walker's "Catalogue of Proper Names..." bound in at rear as cancels on sewn in stubs, apprently from another book - paged [53] - 62. Leather rubbed edges and moderatley scuffed to board surfaces. Leather nicked and lightly chipped at crown. Occasional ink splash or stain and expected light toning to paper stock. Prior ownership bookplate of a J. C. Reiszner of Leananon County, PA is mounted to the front pastedown. Worldcat records only two copies held institutionally of this Baltimore imprint, which was printed in Boston. G+ to VG- .
