John Murray, 1847. First Edition . Hardcover. Good/No Jacket as Issued. Previous owner's names on front endpaper, otherwise unmarked. The binding is tight. Pages edges browned. The original brown cloth boards are bumped at the corners and worn at the edges. The gilt embossed spine is torn at the front hinge and chipped at the head and foot, but broadly intact.
