Washington, DC: GPO, 1901. fair, ex-lib.. Quarto, 135, illus., appendix, weakness to boards, tears and small hole in front flyleaf, few library markings, boards worn and stained. Library pocket has been removed inside front board (small rough spots remain), library date due slip pasted inside front flyleaf, slight foxing to text. The statue was executed by Franklin Simmons. The appendix contains the report of the Grant Memorial Committee to the 34th National Encampment, G.A.R., Chicago, August 29, 1900. Complete title: Proceedings in Congress on the occasion of the reception and acceptance of the statue of General Ulysses S. Grant presented by the Grand Army of the Republic, May 19, 1900.
