Very clean, tight chapbook in fine wraps but for paperclip impression on first free endpaper, and very faint abrasions along spine. Slight offsetting on rear cover, as well as very faint circular impression on front cover (perhaps from a cup). Pitzer College Claremont 1965 1st Edition Paperback Wraps, small 8vo. Saddle-stapled ephemeris printed by the Castle Press and bound in printed, orange-brown wraps. Limited edition of 1000, not for sale, the transcript of Mr Dickey's commencement speech to the first graduating class of Pitzer College of Claremont, on June 6, 1965, while he was poet-in-residence at San Fernando Valley State College. Unpaginated (16 pp) with a preface by college president John Atherton. Bruccoli and Baughman A7.1. Scarce.
