D. Appleton and Company, 1876. Hardcover. Good. in x in x in. 1876. 2 Volume Set. Includes Preface for the First Edition and the Second Edition (In Vol. One only), with a separate Preface for Vol. II. These 2 volumes seem to be part of an entire series or set entitled ""A System of Synthetic Philosophy"" and are Vol. IV and Vol. V of that series. Light glue residue remains on both volumes at the front endboard's interior (from removed bookplates). Both volumes are sunfaded along the spines. Vol. One's boards are discolored and more prominently scratched and scuffed (possibly from water exposure). Bindings are tight.
