No former owner marks. Second set of ads dated June, 1892. Garrison-Morton 223. Osler's textbook was the best English work on medicine of its time. Be became Regius Professor of Medicine at Oxford in 1904. Besides being one of the greatest of all clinicians, he had a fine literary style and extensive knowledge of medical bibliography. To evey good grace of character and eye, "to these were added careful training, unsurpassed clinical ability, the widest knowledge of his subject, the deepest interest in everthing human, and a serene hold upon his fellows that was as a seal upon them".
