A study of Spanish architecture and urbanization in Florida, Louisiana, New Mexico and California back when those areas were Spanish colonies. Lots of archival photographs. Extensively researched. The late Dr James Early was a professor and ultimately Dean of the Faculty of the School of Humanities and Science. The book is in near fine condition with the corner bent on the back cover. Otherwise, the book is in fine, unread condition. The book is inscribed "For Jim, in years of friendship, Jim". It was obtained from the estate of Dr James Brooks, also a professor at SMU. An SMU Press publication. The book is inscribed and signed by the author on the front free end page.
