Blake Williams Period 7- English 9May 12, 2010Pre Pre is a book written by Tom Jordan and many of Steves close friends, coaches, teammates, and family members. Steve Prefontaine, one of the worlds greatest distance runners, grew up in Coos Bay, Oregon and ran in college at Oregon College. This book shows details from him in high school, Marshfield High School, to his college years. Pre describes Prefontaines determination and drive in running. His state of mind not to lose. I really recommend this book to any runners and even other athletes. It is a because explaining how he wasnt that talented by birth with athleticism, height, strength, but he found a great opportunity and what he was good at and seized it. It is a very motivating book and makes you want to stand out in your own way because Pre was very unique and insubordinate. He was kind of a rebel of running, he had his own style, his own way, and if you werent thinking his way then he didnt care but still ran his way. He did things people did think any man could do and pushed himself to and through his bodies limits. I think the book is kind of similar all the way through. It doesnt really have a climax or anything along the literature lines so it is kind of hard to keep interested if your not into running. It is a good book but I think it needs to change the mood more than what it does cause how the author speaks makes it feel the same all the way through the story.-blake

About Wonder Book

With 3 stores less than 1 hour outside the DC/Metropolitan area (1 in Gaithersburg, 1 in Frederick and 1 in Hagerstown, MD), we have the largest selection of books in the tri-state area. Wonder Book and Video has been in business since 1980 and online since 1997. We have over 1 Million books for sale on our website and another 1 Million books for sale in our 3 locations. We have a very active online inventory and as such, we can receive multiple orders for the same item. We fill those orders on a first come first serve basis, but will refund promptly any items that are out of stock. Since 1980 it has always been about the books. ALL kinds of books from 95 cent children\'s paperbacks to five figure rare and collectibles. A merging of the old and new is where we started, and it is where we are today. Our retail stores have always been places where a reader can rush in looking for a title needed for a term paper that is due the next day, or where bibliophiles can get lost \"in the stacks\" for as long as they wish. In 2002 USAToday recognized us as \"1 of 10 Great Old Bookstores\", and we have been featured in numerous other newspaper and TV stories including Washington Post and CSpan.
