The text is illustrated with black-and-white photographs taken by the author. 1/4 white coloured cloth covered back strip with gilt coloured titles. 3/4 cream-coloured boards. Photographic dustwrapper, again taken by Stephen Stewart, with yellow coloured titles to the front panel and back strip. Black and white photograph of author / photographer to the rear fold over panel. A photographic essay, not to mention small biographies of prominent gay and lesbian activists, of the coming out of gay and lesbian community of America in the nineteen eighties. Rubbing of the top book corners and lower book edges. Some marks to the book edges with age toning of the text block edges and pages. Some creasing of the dustwrapper edges and rubbing of the panels.
