Binding very good (secure, spine ends bit worn, brief break in lower front joint), Portrait of Samuel Johnson foxed and corner chipped, engraved title foxed, nearly all of the other portraits free of foxing or have minor spots in margins. Some of engraved portraits: George Washington, Abigail Adams, Thomas Jefferson, Horatio Nelson, Jane Austen, Lord Byron, Napoleon, Robert Fulton, Duke of Wellington, Robert Burns, Charlotte Corday. ; 11 X 8.5 inches .
