About This Item
Street & Smith. Very Good. 1915. First Edition. Soft cover. The Popular Magazine, October 7, 1915 issue, containing the first printing of part of a serialized B. M. Bower novel (The Lazy A, Part IV). Also contains the first printing of a short story by B. M. Bower's husband Bertrand W. Sinclair (Spanish Joe), which may have been reprinted in a later anthology or could be the only printing of this story. The magazine was printed on the pulp paper of the early 1900's and the pages are age darkened, and like all pulps the magazine overall is a bit fragile. Wrapped in a plastic bag. The binding is tight but the cover edges are somewhat chipped and have small edge tears as is common with pulp magazines (see photos).; Book .
