Accompanying the volumes is a pamphlet featuring military tactical schemes. With the censor's notes: "Permitted by UNRRA Team 1066" and "With Permission UNRRA Team 1066."The set is in very good condition overall, with some wear to the spine, toned wrappers, and a previous owner's inscription on the title page of the first volume. The second volume is also in very good condition, with a spine label, inscription on the front wrapper, and "M. Y. H." Ukrainian organization stamps on the title page.<br /> <br /> A second edition published in the displaced persons (DP) camps for Ukrainians in the aftermath of WWII. His extensive military experience included service in the Russo-Japanese War of 1904-1905 and as a Colonel in the General Staff of the Russian Army during World War I. Notably, in August 1919, he commanded operational units during the joint campaign of the Army of the Ukrainian People's Republic and the Ukrainian Galician Army to Kyiv and Odesa.<br /> <br /> Following the conclusion of the Liberation events of 1917-1921, Kapustianskyi was interned at the Polish camp Lantsut. He later resided in Poland and then Paris from 1923 onwards, where he actively engaged in the Ukrainian community, founding the Ukrainian People's Union (later known as the National Union) in 1932. Additionally, he was a founding member and significant figure in the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists.<br /> <br /> After World War II, he lived in Germany, serving as the Minister of Military Affairs of the Ukrainian People's Republic Government in exile from July 1948. Mykola Kapustianskyi passed away and was laid to rest in Munich, Germany.
