An Eton college prize binding, with tipped in gift leaf, presenting the work to E. Lyttleton in 1911. Complete with half title. Featuring a frontispiece portrait of the author as well as decorative initials, head and tail pieces, and other full page plates of engravings of charming landscapes. Containing Gray's original poems as well as translations into English and Latin verse of the works of Petrarca, from the Anthologia Græca, and others. In a full calf prize binding for Eton college. Externally very smart with slight rubbing to the joints and extremities. The odd mark and spot to the boards. Internally firmly bound. Pages generally bright and clean with just the odd spot, slightly heavier to the first and last few pages. Very Good

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
