Samuel Rogers was a celebrated poet during the late 18th, early 19th century. He maintained friendships with Wordsworth, Walter Scott and Byron, was an animated conversationalist, enjoyed entertaining and was respected for his knowledge of the arts. Nicely bound in light red leather with gilt border design. Gilt title within label on hubbed spine. Marbled endpapers and page edges. Small engravings accompany the poems. <br><br>CONDITION: Tightly bound, normal wear to corners, head and tail of spine and edges; shading within endpapers; leaves evenly toned. Covers bear rubbing and soiling, small marks on front. No writing within. Satin ribbon book mark. Full refund if not satisfied.
