Introductory Essay by Henry T.Tuckerman, Esq. No publication dated stated. c 1882. Full leather with tooled floral design on opposing corners of the front and a gilt debossed branch and 'Goldsmith' in the center, gilt debossed titles on spine. All edges gilt. Rounded corners. Spine head/heel partially rubbed through the surface of the leather. Inner hinge cracked. Binding tight. Backstrap tight. Headbands very tight and compact. Endpapers green floral design. Tissue protected frontispiece-"The Haunch of Venison-Goldsmith". Other delightful illustrations. Each page outlined with red border. Pages toned and clean, Foxing on some pages.
