Anthology of poems by Felicia Hemans, English poet, two of her opening lines ("The boy stood on the burning deck" and "The stately homes in England") have become classics of English literature. With half title and index to rear. Rebound in full calf with intricate gilt tooling to spine and extremities, titles in gilt to morocco spine label, gilt to edges, marbled endpapers. Externally very smart with minor shelf wear, lightly rubbed to spine and extremities, back strip darkened. Previous owner's gift inscription to recto front blank leaf, undated, ownership inscription to contents leaf. Internally, firmly bound. Pages clean. Very Good Indeed

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
