Bickers & Son, London, 1943. Edition Unstated. Hardcover (Original Cloth). Good Condition/Fair. editor's note and preface by author. Illustrated end pages, being a peach coloured design. Green coloured cloth covered boards with self embossed illustration to the front panel with gilt coloured titles to the back strip. Pale coloured orange tint to the top text edge. Volume contains: Â The Rivals, Saint Patrick Day, or, The Scheming Lieutenant, The Duenna: a Comic Opera, and, A Trip to Scarborough: A Comedy, The School For Scandal; A Comedy, The Critic; or, A Tragedy Rehearsed, Pizarro: A Tragedy. Softening and rubbing of the back strip edges with rubbing of the book corners. A bump to the top edge of the front panel with sunning of the back strip commensurate with loss of dustwrapper. Light age toning of the text block edges and pages. Chipping of the top dustwrapper corners and a a few tears to the top dustwrapper edge. There is a 2 inch tear, with associated creasing, to the lower left hand corner of the front panel and transverse tear to the back strip leading onto a 4 inch tear to the rear panel, which the tear involves. Sunning and faint foxing to the panels with quite significant sunning to the back strip. Chipping of the top dustwrapper edge. Size: 12mo (Small Hardcover).
