New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1934. Wilderness Edition [1934-1935] limited to 770 numbered sets. Volume I is SIGNED BY EUGENE O'NEILL on the limitation page. Twelve octavo volumes in the original publisher's russet buckram. Front covers decoratively stamped in gilt and spines decoratively stamped and lettered in gilt. Top edge gilt, others uncut. Illustrated with photogravure frontispieces (portraits and scenes from the plays) . Decorative title pages printed in blue and black. Designed by Elmer Adler and printed on specially watermarked paper. Eugene O'Neill was one of the greatest American playrights and winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1936. A fine set.
