Head and tail of spine rubbed and a little pushed; light foxing to block edges; jacket edges creased, mostly at head of spine. Published simultaneously in hard and softcover this is the scarcer cased edition. Hall's second novel and prize winner in the Cook Bicentennial Celebrations Competition. Hall is one of Australia's finest living writers and is a dual winner of the Miles Franklin as well as a host of other literary prizes. He has been nominated for the Booker Prize four times.
