About This Item
Hachette, 1953. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Acceptable. Pierre Probst. Rare September 1953 first edition. Text and illustrations (Pierre Probst) generally bright and clean with an overall attractive presentation. There are a few imperfections that show up under close inspection. Small stain in the page margins of four pages (not affecting text or illustrations), not very crisp or smooth along bottom page margins, one page has one word underlined. The boards are heavily worn, again the artwork of the illustrated boards still is compelling but visibly scuffed and scratched, corners rubbed through. Not the best looking copy but perfectly functional reading copy and notable for its rarity.
