Dust jacket with a portrait of the author on the back section. Gift inscription on the front free endpaper from the author to Mildred Easton, with additional notes presumably by the recipient. "This is a sweeping novel of great adventure, personal heroics and deep, human compassion set against an amazingly detailed portrait of the grandeur and elemental desolution of the far North." -- dust jacket. The author lived in New Jersey and was a design-estimate engineer, sculptor, and author. Scarce. Book is in Near Fine- Condition: top page edges slightly soiled; back endpapers slightly soiled; otherwise, clean and tight. Dust jacket is in Very Good- Condition: rubbed and lightly soiled; solid.
