New York: Harry N. Abrams, 1958. First edition and first printing. Hardcover. 624 pages. An important survey of photgoraphy that look at the first hundred plus years of photography. Features text by Peter Pollack and includes over 600 images with 32 pages in color. A tight near fine copy in black cloth boards with some very minor wear to the bottom of the spine in an about fair dust jacket that has numerous edge tears, small chips and some tape repairs to the verso. Signed and warmly inscribed by Pollack on the front free endpaper: "To Lee Balterman who is a master photographer himself. From his friend Peter Pollack. A nice association copy. This is a heavy and oversized book and will require extra shipping.

Books are subject to prior sale. Libraries, institutions, and accredited dealers in the United States can be sent books with invoice. All books noted as First Editions are also First Printings unless indicated otherwise. Books are returnable for any reason within 10 days provided they are returned in the same condition they were sent.
Biblio collects all sales taxes for the appropriate states.

For other areas, you will be responsible for all customs or tax charges for importation. We do not pay this charges.
