Front date slip and pocket removed, splashes of maybe coffee (?) blank endpapers, some stamps and light soiling but text is tight and clean. Reading copy. DJ flap glued inside back cover. 46 pages. Picken is the son of a Gambian chief, and his home a native vliiage deep in the African jungle. He has a pet monkey named Benjie, and he has lots of strange and exciting adventures. Nice illustrations.. Illus. by Winslade. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. 1st Edition. Hard Cover - Spiral. Good/No Jacket.
