The only flaw is a bit of tape on last endpaper. Large full-page illustrations, no words. Great for young child. Unpaginated, about 40 pp.

Signed by Peter Spier. A sixth printing, hardcover, with dust jacket, published by Doublday. Signed, inscribed and dated, by Spier on the copyright page; 'For Carol, Peter Spier, 1984'. A wordless picture book in which two children explore their neighborhood during a rain storm. 10" X 10-1/2", 36 pages. The dust jacket is intact and is not price clipped. Jacket has been protected with a clear, removable cover. One short closed tear at the top edge of the back panel, about 1/2" long. Sturdy illustrated cover boards are flat, the corners are not bumped or worn, no edge wear. No writing, no former ownership marks. No further writing besides the inscription. Pages are intact and firmly bound. This is not a remainder copy, not a library discard. The attached photos are of the copy we have in our inventory.

Jacket shows an extra retail price sticker to flap, some toning, rubbing and some short closed tears with attendant creases (now neat in archival mylar sleeve); the book itself has a little rubbing to extremities, as well as an ink-stamp owner's name/address to front endpaper. Otherwise clean, tight and unmarked. Very neat -- a sound and handsome copy. .

Delightful wordless tale of a sister's and a brother's experience in, of, and with...a rainy day! Just a hint of shelf rubbing to top and bottom of spine. Hardly noticeably unless really hunting for it. Peter Spier is "one of the most gifted illustrators in this country...he has illustrated over a hundred books and has contributed a series of murals to the H.F. Du Pont Winterthur Museum in Delaware." He is a winner of a Caldecott Award for his "Noah's Ark" in 1978, and numerous other accolades for his beautifully illustrated and captivating tales.
