Won innagural National Book Award for Biography in 1936. Basis for Alfred Hitchcock's film "Foreign Correspondent" which starred Joel Mcrea. Hinge cracked at front endpaper but nowhere else. Two tips frayed and moderate wear to head of spine. Short remainder mark on bottom page edges. Price intact jacket has two small chips to outer edges at head of spine. In mylar. . Signed by Author. First Modern Library Printing. Hardcover. Very Good Minus/VG Minus. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
