Map on cover is a section of a Catalan atlas of 1375, by Abraham Cresques; on the back, part of a thirteenth-century map of Palestine by Matthew Paris. This atlas depicts medieval history in Europe and the Near East as a continuous story. A treasure, reprinted from the original edition; an older edition of this unique Medieval History reference work. 96 pages, indexed. 7.25 x 11 inches. 1973, Penguin, Hammondsworth, Middlesex, England.
