Illustrated throughout including 40 full-page maps by John Woodcock as called for, with seas marked in blue. Pictorial laminated card wraps. Spine lightly creased with laminate just beginning to lift, but unbroken. Leaves lightly toned to edge; initials of former owner tidily inscribed to title page otherwise contents clean. A Very Good copy. "Here, in forty maps, each with its own detailed commentary, is the story of the great nomadic conquerors.." (from upper cover). Scarce, particularly in this condition.
