Synopsis
Gary Paulsen tells the story of fourteen-year-old Terry Anders, whose squabbling parents leave on the same day, each assuming Terry is with the other parent. When he finishes the car known as "the Cat," Terry sets out from Cleveland to Portland to find his uncle and experience the road alone...until he meets some other wandering souls.
