Birmingham & London: Cornish Brothers; Simpkin, Marshall & Co., 1889. Illustrated with four coloured plates, several line drawings in the text, small slim octavo, pp (6), 112, a few neat manuscript additions to the list of best cultivars, similar notes on the rear blank, and a manuscript recipe for Deans Insecticide on the final text page, verys slightly age-toned, traces of a label on the rear endpaper, otherwise clean internally, blue blind-stamped cloth with gilt lettering, corners slightly bumped and rubbed, lower cover a little marked, the joints rubbed, the spine faded and a bit worn, lacking a tiny piece at the head. VERY SCARCE. [Little, if anything, seems to be known of the author.]. First Edition. Cloth. Good.
