About This Item
London, New York: Routledge and Kegan Paul, Columbia University Press, 1965. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Near Fine/Very Good. Dark brown cloth with gilt-on-black title panel to sp. plus gilt author and pub. imprint. xxxi +(2, maps) +_433 + 96 pp. photos, many with more than one image, 208 text figs; have thoroughly erased extensive light penciling which seems to disappear after p.43, cannot entirely guarantee no traces remain or that there are none in subsequent text, even so they are very easily dealt with, other than that this is internally fault free, being clean, tight and unworn. Top edge of text-block brown. Unclipped jacket in protective sleeve as acquired appears to be clean and unworn bar very slight hints of rubbing to extremities. An excellent copy of this very learned and lavishly illustrated work, now apparently scarce. Somewhat broader in coverage of Celtic history than title suggests. 20 cm x 25 cm
