About This Item
World Book Co, 1932-01-01. Revised and enlarged edition. Hardcover. Very Good. Signed by Author. Hardbound book in very good condition, inscribed by co-author Howard Driggs on FFEP: "To Dr. Herbert J. Spinden With appreciation of his great work in pioneering - this little volume portraying the life of a pioneer with whom as a boy he was associated, is presented. Cordially, Howard R. Driggs Nov. 28, 1943". Herbert Joseph Spinden (1879â1967) was an American anthropologist and archaeologist whose career undertook the study of Native American cultures of the US and Mesoamerica. Green boards are remarkably straight and clean for an item of this date. Text block shows age-related toning on FFEP, RFEP, and page edges, with minor soil on top edge. Pages are straight, firmly bound, clean. Overall a most pleasant copy.
