Book #3 in the 23-book YA series that thrilled & inspired girls at the beginning of the 20th century (1913-1933), allowing readers to vicariously experience the adventures of the "Tramping and Camping Club" of the girls in "Deepdale" New York that they were often denied them in real life. Orig. published in 1913, this is a slightly later printing, listing to Book #5 (also 1913) in front matter & to #14 (1924) in rear, along with lists of other girls' series. In 212 pages with glossy frontispiece & 2 plain internal illustrations. Hardcover book with green-gray decorative cloth-covered boards is in Good+ condition: generally very clean, with a random spot or smudge. Binding strong & straight, but rear hinge is cracked. Pages only lightly tanned, heavier around edges. Former owner's name in faded pen to ffep; NO other writing or underlining or highlighting; not ex-lib. Flaws: rubbing to extremities, heaviest at both ends of spine & all corners; some light spotting/rubbing to both covers. Light soil/dust dulling to all external page edges. NO DJ.
