Sumptuously re-bound by Sangorski & Sutcliffe in full red morocco with 5 raised bands and gilt lettering to the spine. A fine copy. Inscribed by the Author to: "Margaret Storm Jameson/ with the author's affection/ Lovat Dickson/ Sept 5/ 1940". Margaret Storm Jameson was an English journalist and author, known for her novels and reviews. The American historian, Henry Steele Commager described her as ''one of the most distinguished novelists writing in the English language. Lovat Dickson was a notable publisher and writer, the first Canadian to have a major publishing role in Britain.
