Good to very good condition. (SABIB 1, p. 299) Uncommon. Patriotic poems focused on South African involvement in World War 1, including the Western Front and German South West Africa and East Africa. Beatrice Marian Bromley (1861-1925) spent much of her life in the Orange Free State. Her other volumes of poetry were "Where Aloes Grow and Other Songs of South Africa" (1912) and "The Song of Table Bay and Other Verses" (1924). .
