Corners are lightly bent and starting to show board. Tear to cloth of back gutter repaired with glue. Some sun fading to covers, esp. back and spine. Gold gilt on spine is beginning to fade. Gold gilt portrait of Rev. John Carroll on front cover is in great condition. Dark maroon hardcovers. Marbled head, foot, and fore-edges. Back edge near hinge has small amount of webbing visible.
