Clayton Eshleman's copy with his ownership signature, dated 1966 in Lima on the title page, some marks throughout. Eshleman (1935-2021), poet, translator, and editor, was an important figure for decades in the world of postmodern poetry. He won the National Book Award for his translations of the Peruvian modernist Cesar Vallejo.
