Signed by Karl Popper on front free endpaper, inscribed to British philosopher Anthony Quinton "To Anthony from Karl November 1982." From Quinton's estate. Among the two distinguished philosophers' associations, Quinton wrote the entry on Popper in the 1967 edition of The Encyclopedia of Philosophy and interviewed him for the Channel 4 program "Uncertain Truth" in 1988. In an obituary Quinton called Popper "this century's most important philosopher of science," and "the last of the great logicians."
xxii, 185 pp. Publisher's black cloth with gilt lettering. Inked bracket in margin of title page, else Fine in Near Fine dust jacket, a little toned. A very nice association.
