About This Item
Hantsport, NS: Lancelot Press, 1985. 4th Printing. Paperback. Very Good. Clean, tight, unmarked; sticker ghost to upper corner of front cover; light rubbing to covers; pencil marks erased inside front cover; otherwise spine straight and uncreased; minimal wear; The author was stationed in Halifax during WWII. He covers the riots thoroughly with many sidelights. He highlights the curious behaviour of Admiral Murray on the witness stand. The mystery of the VE-Day riot remains. Why the Defence Department continues to clam up suggests something very peculiar happened. A well written account that adds fuel to the fire of controversy.
