The heroes of this unusual story represent England, Canada, and America, at a Canadian school where the system gives glorious scope for adventure in the big wods. In a tree thse allies build a hut as their secret headquarters. Then appears the sinister figure of the One-Eyed Trapper, and the tale of school, ice-hockey and amateur tracking takes a grimmer tone. For the trapper and his confederates are bent on kidnapping the American boy, and are prepared to stop at nothing.
