This two-volume, French-language set remains in good- condition after almost 150 years. Spine straight, binding tight. Both volumes, but especially Volume II, have heavy wear to cover tips and top and bottom of spine. As the author writes in his introductory biography of the 17th century French dramatist and travel writer: "La vie de Regnard est aussi curieuse que son théatre est amusant. S'il est tout de conmédie et de farce, elle est toute de roman et d'aventures ..."
