About Magnolia Books

Retiring literature professor parting with a professional and personal library of books on literary criticism, Renaissance, Seventeenth and Eighteenth centuries, philosophy, philology, history, and theology, particularly Catholicism. I'm old school, and so are these books. Many are hardbacks and first editions; some I've inherited from professors I had from graduate school at UNC-Chapel Hill. If you are looking for pristine books that have never been read, move on: these books were the tools of my trade, and they show signs of use, like underlining and/or marginalia, slightly yellowed pages, but the the bindings are tight, and, most importantly, they are readable.
