The work also contains several interesting anecdotes on the Battle of Waterloo. Illustrated with a frontispiece, a colour folding map, and two plates. Written by Henry Smithers, who was also the author of the poem 'Affection'. Bookplate to the front pastedown. Undated, dated from Jisc from a copy held at the University of Oxford Libraries. In a half calf binding with marbled paper to the boards. Externally, generally smart. Minor rubbing to the boards and spine. Light bumping to the extremities. Light fading to the spine and joints. Bookplate to the front pastedown. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are lightly age-toned with some spots. Very Good
