About This Item

London: George Allen & Unwin Ltd, 1968. Hardcover. ix, 340p., illustrated with math and diagrams, presswork on superb paper, far beyond textbook stuff (hence weighty with clay). Allen & Unwin's usual crisp binding: 9x5.5 inch black cloth boards lettered silverfoil and enclosed in the plain printed dust jacket. Dust jacket has picked up faint dustsoil and sunning, and is a little slack around the front cover, but has protected the book-beautiful. Jacket displays a rave review by Albert Einstein, running 50-60 words.
