(1st) Thicker, heavier book, quality blue cloth, gilt lettering on front and spine near-bright, map of Norway inside covers and adjacent end papers, 293 pages, some photos throughout. DJ heavy paper, dark blue background to front and spine with ornate naive art illustrating homestead on front, design of fish and knives on spine, white back badly browned. DJ is badly worn, torn and slightly chipped. Poor DJ/Fine book.

Pages are bright and clear with light tanning and foxing to free endpapers and text block edges. Scuffed sticker and pen & pencil inscription on front free endpaper, with a few small nicks along text block edge. Former owner's name inscription to half tile page. Plates are bright and clear, with slight tanning to edges. Boards have light shelf-wear with mild corner bumping and crushing to spine ends. Book has a slight forward lean. Unclipped jacket has light surface wear, with small tears and creasing to spine ends, edges and corners. Moderately tanned overall.
