London: Hamish Hamilton, 1956. A first edition, first printing published by Hamish Hamilton in 1956. A near fine book with previous owners name neatly inscribed on the front endpaper which has a little off-setting and spotting, along with the rear endpaper. Some spotting to the page edges. In a near fine unclipped wrapper with some wear to the spine tips and corners. One small closed tear to the right edge of the front panel. Rare collection by Waugh, Mitford, Betjemen, you name it. Also illustrated by the talented Osbert Lancaster.
