London: Rudolph Ackermann, 1839. First edition. Hardcover. Very Good+/No Jacket. 327 pp. Hardcover, rebound in half-leather with blue boards, 5 raised bands and gilt title at spine, 8vo. The original red cloth covers and spine, with gilt title) are bound in at the rear of this volume. Very Good copies with nearly Fine contents. Edges and outer hinges have dried up, rest of leather still bright, in nice shape; tear and light wear to uppermost 1/2" of spine. Bright, unmarked text; only light tanning of pages; endpapers show some foxing. Very nice copy with wonderful plates of foxes and the hunt.
