About This Item
Paulist Press, April 1997. Paper Back. New. Nicholas of Cusa (1397-1455) -- philosopher, theologian, cardinal -- was a figure of multifaceted brilliance, weaving together elements of Neoplatonism, Dionysius, and Scholasticism and bringing them to a heightened synthetic maturity, proposing solutions to problems of pluralism and ecumenicity far ahead of his time. His theological works have been available before (though scattered and difficult to find), but this is the first time in English that his spiritual writings have been available in one volume.
