Original green pigskin-backed batik boards, top edges gilt; publisher's slipcase. First edition, one of 100 numbered copies in this special binding signed by the poet (this is no. 89). Presentation copy, inscribed (full-page) by Markham: "To Ray Cecil Carter, in memory of a happy meeting in April in the capitol - what capitol - the only one of high significance - Albany!
