First Edition, First Printing in clean original unclipped dust jacket, SIGNED by the author. Clean paper-covered boards with clean unchipped paper label on spine. No fraying or wear-through, very light bumping to corners. Binding is tight and square, hinges are sound - no cracking. Pages and edges are clean. Tiny historical bookseller ticket from "Syracuse University Book Store" at bottom corner of front fixed endpaper. Signed by author on front free endpaper: "John Drinkwater - Syracuse - October 15, 1925." 64 pages. Clean dust jacket is unchipped, not price clipped (1.25 on front inside flap), has one 1-1/2" closed edge tear. Enclosed in new archival quality removable mylar cover. "In this, the latest volume of John Drinkwater's verse, we have the result of two years' concentrated work and the full maturity of one of England's most gifted poets. It is especially in the reflective quality of these fine lyrics that one is conscious of the steady increase in his range and power.".
